Liebster Award Nomination

I was nominated for the Liebster Award by my fellow blogger lady Hannah from The Diaries of an ordinary Mum. While I had heard of it before, I had no idea what this is all about. But I am excited regardless. I am a baby in the blogging world only having started 2 months ago. So I am going to follow into Hannah’s footsteps and give you some guidelines as to how this Award nomination works.

The Liebster Award is a tag given from one blogger to another to find out more about new bloggers and blogettes (Is that even a word?). It’s easy:

Thank the person who nominated you and post a link to their blog in your post.
Show the award on your blog or in your post.
Answer the 11 questions asked by the person who nominated you.
Write 11 random facts about yourself.
Nominate 5-11 bloggers that you feel deserve the award.

Hannah asked me the following questions:

1.When and why did you start blogging?

I started blogging on the 31^st December last. I had been thinking about it for a while. December was a time of big change for me and I looking for a new adventure to look forward to. I felt as a mum of 4 I had so much on my mind and so many things I want to share. I feel there is so much pretense in the parenting world. I wanna say it like it is and keep it real and hopefully other parents will find comfort and support in what I write about.

2.If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Somewhere warm. Somewhere sunny.

3.How would your friends and family describe you?

Passionate, committed, fun.

4.What is your favourite movie?

“Legends of the Fall” is a favorite, but then there are so many good movies.

5.What is the most exciting thing you have done?

I know this probably sounds cheesy but having my four babies was definitely an exciting time for me. Outside of that, I have travelled, I have moved abroad, I married my best friend. All pretty exciting.

6.Who do you admire in the blogging world?

I am a huge fan of Constance Hall. So raw and honest. She makes me laugh.

7.Tell me a fun fact about yourself….

I am German. (That’s it.) Germans are renowned for being fun, right?

8.What are your blogging dreams?

Oh it’s early days yet. Right now one dream is to be featured on one of the high traffic pages. I want people to read my stuff, people who can relate to and identify with my stories. I want to engage with people and have an audience that cares.

9. If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?

Jennifer Aniston. To talk about how she gets her hair to look so damn good.

10. Do you have a favourite book or author?

I don’t get to read much these days. I guess I don’t. I read “Room” not long ago and thought it was a pretty good book.
